FBA is always looking for fun, energetic, and reliable site managers, officials, concession stand workers, field maintenance workers, interns, and professional administrative staff.  Get paid for being engaged in sports and activities that serve the community while fitting it into your schedule.

FBA Needs Team Members Who Are:

  • Ensure a fun and engaging FBA sports experience for our participants which is rooted in FBA's good sportsmanship and respectful culture
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with players, fans, and staff.
  • Possess a good work ethic, dedication, and reliability when setting up and executing sports and event programming.
  • Exhibit confidence, independence, and teamwork when completing and leading tasks and projects

Independent Contractor Opportunities

Site Manager

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing sports programing and events (league games/practices, camps, clinics, etc.)
  • Serve as a point of contact for communication, decision-making, and troubleshooting.
  • Interacting with players, coaches, and staff to assure
  • Able to multi-task and anticipate problems before they happen.
  • Provide customers with the best possible sports programming experience.


Member Services (New positions starting in the spring 2024)

  • Greet customers and provide them with friendly, superb experience.

  • Answer questions and incoming e-mails and calls; re-direct guests to other FBA staff members as necessary

  • Check-in in players, book parties & classes reservations, and work the counter.

  • Complete on-going and ad-hoc assigned projects and tasks

  • Must be self-driven, able to multi-task, possess good office administrative skills, and work well in a team environment.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.


Concessions/Food Services

  • Responsible for maintaining operations and assisting customers at the concession stand.
  • Take customer orders and assemble them correctly.
  • Accept payment from customers via a cash register.
  • Check food items to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Keep the assigned area clean, sanitary, and safe.
  • Perform basic maintenance on machines and equipment as needed.
  • Re-stocking concessions from inventory when needed.
  • Balancing register receipts at the end of the day.
  • Ensure the concession stand and supplies are stocked with back-up inventory. (Manager)
  • Track and analyze concession item sales and make adjustments as needed. (Manager)
  • Staff the concession stand with Attendants based on sports programming schedule. (Manager)
  • Must be at least 15 years old.


Game Official

  • Referee/umpire fun and fair games with an emphasis on balancing athletic competition and good sportsmanship
  • Establishes and maintains the respect of the coaches, players, and fans.
  • Maintains control of play
  • Interprets and understands the rule of play and makes judgement calls accordingly.
  • Must be at least 13 years old.

 

Field/Facilities Prep Crew

  • Maintain FBA outdoor fields and baseball diamonds, which includes field grooming, cleaning, and setting up fences and equipment.
  • Maintain indoor courts, community room, and lobby area, which includes preparation, cleaning, and setting up equipment.
  • Must be at least 15 years old.

Camp Counselor

  • Supervise campers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and adherence to camp rules and policies.
  • Implement safety protocols during activities, meals, and recreational periods to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where campers feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
  • Build meaningful relationships with campers through active listening, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
  • Lead and facilitate sports sessions, games, and team-building activities according to the camp schedule and curriculum.
  • Provide instruction, guidance, and feedback to help campers develop their skills and confidence in various areas.
  • Address behavioral issues and conflicts among campers using effective communication, conflict resolution techniques, and positive behavior reinforcement.
  • Collaborate with fellow counselors and camp leadership to maintain a cohesive and orderly camp environment.
  • Serve as positive role models for campers by demonstrating integrity, responsibility, and good sportsmanship in all interactions and activities.
  • Encourage campers to embrace challenges, take risks, and strive for personal growth and achievement.
  • Communicate regularly with camp leadership, fellow counselors, and support staff to share updates, concerns, and insights related to camper progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate on things that have been working and not working to make the campers experience the best it can be.

 

Summer Internship

  • We are looking for reliable and responsible college-aged interns who will perform many of the responsibilities listed in other FBA positions.  The intern does not need to be majoring in Sports Management, Hospitality Managment or related field.  We can tailor the internship to include other interesting and informative aspects of a non-profit business to complement many majors.  Past discussions and project work including aspects of finance, accounting, marketing, data analytics, and web site development.
